I worked with the great Ernest Borgnine on the final episode of “ER” in 2009. (I didn’t end up killing him, but we messed up his TV wife a bit.) He was an extremely jovial and kind man, as well as a sharp as a tack actor (especially at 92 years old). He told me he had the secret to staying spry in his old age:
“I masturbate constantly!” he said with a huge gap-toothed smile.
